About the author
D.E. Ramey is a U.S. Navy veteran, an Ohio native, and a grandfather with a wild imagination and deep-rooted faith. After decades working with his hands—as a driver, heavy equipment operator, and tele-data technician—he stepped away from the trades in 2022 to pursue a lifelong dream: finishing the story that had tugged at his heart for years. That story became Dawning, the first installment in a six-book Christian saga. He lives in Mount Vernon, Ohio, with his wife, Misty, and a small army of grandkids. “This isn’t just a story about survival,” author Ramey says. “It’s about doubt, redemption, and rediscovering faith when it seems like everything is lost.”
