Description
A gripping blend of dystopian fiction and end-times suspense, Dawning: Book I of the Evil in the World Saga is the first book in a six-part series. Set in the rugged beauty of West Virginia’s Monongahela National Forest in the year 2081, the story follows Avery Lucas, a man trying to shield his family as the world unravels. As society collapses and Christians face rising persecution, Avery battles not only the evil around him but a war within his own soul. Can he find the strength to believe again? Avery is a decorated veteran who now serves as a private security agent for a Congressman in Washington, DC. Having witnessed horrible atrocities while in the service, Avery uses his position to glean information to protect his family against the chaos growing in the country. It all begins when the loudest, most incredible blaring sound unexpectedly erupts and is heard around the world. From this ominous Clarion Call, terrifying oddities begin to unfold around the Lucas family and their small hometown. Avery’s wife, Ahrie, is the family's source of faith as the situation goes from bad to worse. Avery struggles to find his own faith and save his family and society from destruction as they face many trials and tribulations in the harrowing days following the Clarion Call. The Lucas family’s journey, which begins in Dawning, continues in Faithful: Book II of the Evil in the World Saga, publishing in 2027.
