As a former journalist one fun part for me writing mystery-suspense fiction is no longer needing to ''write-to-space''- I can simply add another page anytime I need too...bearing in mind that readers can get tired, and I certainly 'don't' want to put then to sleep.  When I have a plot idea, research is another fun aspect though merging fact with my fiction brings out the journalist, still lurking close by. Regardless, after publishing 18 books over the last fourteen years - I'm still having fun - though murdering people on paper might be considered a questionable career pursuit...
