About the author
In the 1960s, I spent several years sailing on steamships as a radio officer. Later, due to other activities, I spent much of my life abroad. When I decided to permanently moor myself on shore, I retired to an old country house and began to write. My initial idea was to recount my adventures at sea, but upon reflection, I started to doubt that I could keep the reader engaged. Storms, evenings in ports, discoveries of new countries, encounters with exotic characters, while interesting at first, they eventually become repetitive and, in the end, all seem alike. I then decided to enrich my autobiographical narrative with elements of fantasy and to venture into science fiction. Drawing on my interest in the history of the universe, which has fascinated me as a curious self-taught individual, I expanded the plot to span the cosmos. Thus, my first novel, The Saga of the Phoenix was born.
Writing this novel, beyond its potential editorial value, has brought me immense pleasure, which has motivated me to continue, maintaining the same fantastical universe I envisioned at the beginning. I have self-published several novels, with sales results that, lacking promotion, have remained quite modest.
In chronological order of the story lines, not in order of publication:
- Rome, Encounter with an Empire. The plot unfolds from the 1st century BCE to 15 CE.
- The Saga of the Phoenix. From 1960 to 2200.
- Helios. In 2800. ( a thriller set in the future)
- The Fate of New Earth. In 3200.
- The Blood of the Jellyfish, a thriller/noir set in Italy, in 1972s Trieste.
I am writing now The Blood of the Octopus, a new thriller that is the continuation of The Blood of the Jellyfish.
